Can artistes sing songs, act in movies and crack jokes that don’t have any of the usual elements of Christianity and still claim to have a heritage in Christ? What makes a song secular and what doesn’t? What’s their inspiration for the songs they write and who determines whether these acts bring glory to God or push his people further away from him?

In certain gatherings, some of us are scared to let our phones ring out loud because of our ringtone or are a bit embarrassed to let certain people see what songs are on our phones because we are embarrassed by what they might say. What type of songs, movies or jokes bring glory to God; is there a particular type? These entertainment personalities, who are they  beyond what the media tells us and what side of the divide do they belong to? Is there even a divide?
